Hey loves! As I mentioned in an earlier post I graduated from high school this year, so naturally when it came to having a graduation party the theme had to be Lilly. In this post I will be walking you through all of the details of the party and sharing some tips and tricks that I learned along the way. Enjoy the post and let me know in the comments below your favorite Lilly print!
The highlight of the whole party had to be the printed cake and shift dress cookies. When I first started planning for the party I saw tons of pictures of cakes and cookies on Pinterest and knew that I had to have something similar. When the cake was delivered to the party I was ecstatic, because I do not think a cake could match my style more. Everything from my favorite print(Lobstah Roll) to the monogrammed ribbon is spot on me. We actually found the baker through a family friend and I will have her information linked here, since she exceeded all of my wildest expectations and did a beautiful job.
The baker was even sweet enough to make me a special little red dress cookie!
For the dessert table I wanted to keep the cake as the focus of the table, but also have lots of other dessert options. Featured below is an assortment of strawberry cupcakes, mini lemon bars, bite sized key lime pies, mini carmelita cookie bars, and cream puffs. For the cupcakes I wanted to do something for the toppers that incorporated the same print from the cake, so I used PicMonkey to create a printed circle and diploma, that gave the cupcakes the little added touch that they needed.
For the food and drink tables I cut up my old agenda pages into medium sized triangles to form a garland that hung around each of the tables. I also put that same garland around a glass container and placed some pink chevron printed straws in it. For other small details I used gold frames with Lilly Pulitzer 5×5 prints and found the absolute cutest cocktail napkins at Target. The little touches of pink and prints truly added that extra element to the party.
